Dancing Pickle A 16'3" hand chestnut gelding. Suitable for intermediate through advanced English riders. Pickle raced as a youngster, and has a wide range of personality styles. He can be very quiet or very energetic. He is my personal mount, so if you ride him, consider yourself lucky! I am very particular about who I will teach on Pickle. He events at novice level, jumping 3'6" nicely. He has even gone team penning, but thought he should race his cow. It's ok he won the race! Pickle's grandmother's name is Susie Cucumber.....His Daddy was Raise a Pickle, so he is Dancing Pickle! He and I are the background to the web site! |

Bootz....why'd I name him that? |
...because I couldn't call him Weaver, the name that he came with. And, yes he weaves but not nearly as much since he lives out in pasture. He is a 17.2 hand black bay thoroughbred type gelding. He is really beautiful, though you can't really tell here . |

OG Mare  |
OG stands for Ole Grey, and she is a mare I bought at auction. She is 17.2 hands tall and most likely thoroughbred. She has no tattoo, so never raced, but has the evidence of a broodmare and a wonderful disposition. OG was given to a client, Faye, who has been riding her for several months. Sadly. OG Died. Luckily I had been in the pasture with all the horses around noon, everyone one seemed fine and wanted their favorite places scratched, including OG mare. When I came home at 3pm, I was a lump in the pasture and OG was down. I tried to get her up, but it was clear she was really down. I immediately called the vet. After an exam, it was decided she was not a surgery candidate and likely something had ruptured or failed internally. My only comfort is that she did not suffer very long and I held her while she died. All the pasture became quiet, the other horses watched on and the mules brayed and her favorite horse whinned. It was really touching. |

(South San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley) where owner/trainer Christine Amber trains horses and riders. Equestrian Training's focus is teaching adults and teems about, caring for, riding , keeping and owning horses as well as developing safe, strong, and sensible riding skills. You can take private riding lessons in English or Western Riding. You can join the riding club which emphasizes horses as a lifestyle that encompasses exercise, recreation, fun and a significant time commitment of three rides or group lesson a week. Equestrian Training's horse training focuses on foundations that develop safety, relationship, willingness, obedience and balance in an athletic horse.
